Fashion Flashback! are we back to the 40's?

Ladies prepare to raid your grandmother’s closet because this spring, the 40’s style is back. From tailored dresses to fabulous gowns, the 40’s are back with its sharp looks.

Something has changed in contemporary culture: the focus has shifted from the future to the past. This is exemplified by the 1940s taking up a lot of space in today's cultural landscape.

The 40’s have slowly been reviving since 2010 and this year, retro is officially back! One almost gets the impression that the dedicated fans of the ‘40s are trying to bring back to life an age that is long gone.

Fifteen years ago, the Swinging Sixties were in style. Then came the 1980s and kitsch. Today women decorate their homes with 1940s furniture.
