7Market

So I went to “7 Market” the other day with hubby ‘cause we heard it was good.
When we first walked in, we couldn’t help but notice the pretty cool atmosphere.. It was located in KIPCO tower 4th floor. The area was open, lights were dim, and the music was loud..

There was this tiny issue that bothered both of us which was the overwhelming smell of food EVERYWHERE!

Anyways, I saw a couple of interesting booths that I would like to share with you guys. One of them I'm sure u heard of before which is

“Umami Edamame”

It’s interesting how almost all the food selection they had was healthy “delicious kind of healthy”. I really liked the fact that they had different type of toppings for their Edamame. I tried the Lebna and the Spicy Crispy toppings they were pretty good. They also have new items on their menu.. One of them was the Quinoa salad, didn’t try it yet to be honest but it seemed appealing to me.

The Second table that caught my attention was “Books&More” I just stood there staring at the huge range of captivating books I have almost never seen in Kuwait. The owner “Ruqaya Al-Mehri” was kind enough to spare me a couple of minz out of her busy time to talk briefly about her business.

I was admired by her need to feed younger brains with high quality books. Her books were, to me atleast, the crème de la crème of all books. The interesting part was she had both her niece and nephew help her through choosing the books that are popular among the new generation. Her books serve people from the age of 5 to the age of 35-40.

If you are a book lover, you will totally weep over the collection she has. Check out some of her collection on this link "http://instagram.com/p/mfxu9mwVAp/"

Elie Tahari

Today at the ELIE TAHARI's opening in 360 Mall "Kuwait".

The shop reminded me so much of Karen Millen's, clothes wise and interior design as well. I like Karen Millen, so its not that big of a deal. The best part was finding an amazing hot-pink summer dress AND BUYING IT!! "NYAHAHA".
Anyways, I'll leave you guys to see the pictures.

Fashion Flashback! are we back to the 40's?

Ladies prepare to raid your grandmother’s closet because this spring, the 40’s style is back. From tailored dresses to fabulous gowns, the 40’s are back with its sharp looks.

Something has changed in contemporary culture: the focus has shifted from the future to the past. This is exemplified by the 1940s taking up a lot of space in today's cultural landscape.

The 40’s have slowly been reviving since 2010 and this year, retro is officially back! One almost gets the impression that the dedicated fans of the ‘40s are trying to bring back to life an age that is long gone.

Fifteen years ago, the Swinging Sixties were in style. Then came the 1980s and kitsch. Today women decorate their homes with 1940s furniture.
The 1940s were a brilliant decade for fashion. Hollywood's Golden Age stars dazzled in gorgeous gowns, while women across the West embraced a more practical yet chic look. Here, we highlight the best of the decade's style.

Joan Crawford

Joan shows us how to pull off the androgynous look with the tie.

Eva Gardner, 1944

Katharine Hepburn

Grace Kelly

Barbara Stanwyck, 1941
Bright beadings on a black dress with a huge hand watch made Barbara Stanwyck looks amazing at the time.

Christian Dior

Brenda Marshall, 1940s
